Description
The upper timing belt cover bolts to two metal brackets connected to the cylinder head and the valve cover. Its purpose is to protect/conceal the cam gears and timing belt. It is purely personal prefrence when choosing to run the timng belt cover or not. These covers are commonly misplaced and/or broken.
Mods
There are aftermarket timing belt covers available for DSMs.
