This write up is for the 2G turbo DSM, but also applies to the 1G’s.
Tools Needed:
- 3/8 Drive Ratchet
- 12MM Socket
- 12MM Wrench
- 14MM Wrench
- 10MM Wrench
Parts Needed:
- Clutch Master Cylinder (I HIGHLY RECOMMEND USING AN OEM MASTER CYLINDER AND NOT A PARTS STORE/REMAN MASTER CYLINDER)
Step 1: Remove these (2) 12MM bolts from the firewall. (Yes, I had already removed them in this pic)
Step 2: Pull this hose clamp off and then remove the hose from the fluid resivor. Sit your resivor aside.
Step 3: Remove your line from the master cylinder.
Step 4: Remove this 12MM nut.
Now, from inside the car…
Step 6: Remove the banjo bolt pin from the clutch pedal. Then remove the pin. Don’t lose the washer!
Step 7: Remove this 12MM nut.
These are what you should have removed from the inside of the car.
Step 8: Remove clutch master cylinder.
Step 9: Remove the hose from the old clutch master cylinder. Don’t lose the gasket! Your new clutch master cylinder probably won’t come with a new one.
Installation of the new clutch master cylinder is reverse of installation.
