No GCD but you will find animation locks, so. . Except wow does it easily and in aion if your ping is over 20 melee sucks ass because of how clunky the aion classic kinah match is, with automobile attacks cancelling and skills not activating because”you’re too far off” when being right next to target. So no. PvP in this game isn’t the best, particularly compared to other tab goal games.
I am also a fan of Aion 4.0 and below, but I don’t understand how dumb you have to be not to see the flaws in aions battle system and netcode and phone pretty much top 3 pvp mmorpg. Everything you recorded under”ability” is a part of majority of PvP in mmorpg, it particularly looks very similar to wow…
The only thing it has going for it is that becoming to maximum level is a travel, everything is rather hard, in classic particularly it will be quite slow and nearly impossible at times to progress in an appropriate time without a party especially during 16-18 since kralls hit like trucks. PvP feels unique because that is pretty much all there is to it at the end match witht the exception of conducting some sponge dungeons and raids mainly for the enhancement products, or gear that you would market to purchase enhancement items, the caliber of PvP is not the best, it reminds me a lot of GunZ playerbase where they think it is the best Third Person Shooter but in reality that game has such enormous issues with the quality of the gameplay that you just wonder how can anybody thing that, same thing occurs with PvP at Aion.
The most important selling point of the game isn’t even that much of a top quality, sadly. If developers put time into the releases of the classic versions and really had love for the match not a pure fiscal motivation, maybe we would see these obvious issues fixed, and if the clunkyness would be repaired, it could really be among the best PvP games out there.
Far from the same thing as a GCD. Animation duration is different from skill to skill that’s the opposite of”global”. Also as mentioned in the top comment, you will find tons of technical hints revolving around animation that when mastered, puts you at a massive advantage based on the class you are playing. For instance a ranger who doesn’t understand how to slideshot or jumpshot will not be able to kite nearly and a person who does. A sin that does not AAC (automobile attack cancel) will be pumping less out dps and reducing their chances at a godstone proc. Other courses AAC also but due to the gap in animation duration, the timing is completely different. So again, not even near being the exact same thing for a GCD which forces you to wait for a predetermined quantity of time between each ability if you don’t have haste.
In terms of the ping, yes it surely things but the comment about needing sub 20ms to perform melee is way overblown. I played with anywhere from 60-80ms and had no problems dueling equally skilled players using 20-30ms. Yes you can sometimes get the”you are too euro aion classic buy kinah far off” message despite being alongside a target but I attribute this to invisible terrain obstacles on specific maps and not a continuous issue.
