I hope this feedback encourages the team to RuneScape gold make polls more targeted to the audience who actively take part in the content they’re polling, or use them as an advisory tool instead of a ruling. It’d be interesting if they reveal a few of the outcomes of this survey. I answered the precise contrary, that polling is at the core of OSRS and they should stick with it. For clarity, I also answered that polling is at the core of OSRS. The survey system empowers the entire playerbase to open freeform conversation on the planned changes/additions created to Runescape itself and it’s absolutely a great way to gather feedback and people opinion on something. That said, I don’t think the present format meets the best interests of Runescape.
I don’t believe that the player base is good at determining which content, based on virtue, is great for integrity and the overall health of Runescape long-term. Based on polling, NMZ was enjoyed by the community but it was important to remove. Players don’t vote for any changes which make things harder for them but over time that becomes a drawback as content becomes easier and achievements are diluted, these are very slight but easily accumulate.
Another example is PK and PvP related changes which are consistently voted against. Individuals even voted against allowing pures wear blessed chaps. Improve profits and so the only impact of this to accounts that were ordinary would have been to slightly boost the demand. This isn’t an example of polling meeting with the interests of Runescape, it is just a meme of not enjoying pures. If we just see updates which suit the exact same 75% of individuals every time that the remaining 25 percent become more and more marginalised, which isn’t a good balance when those 75/25 are seemingly so frequently the same people.
Not everyone is going to make sound choices while voting, or make the”right” choice. If literally everyone left the most educated, most informed, most goal voting choices. The United States wouldn’t have the president it does. Real world example of unemployment. Our voting system isn’t ideal, but we all got to make sure we do not end up pushed RS3 players down. Our throats. There are definitely improves that may be made that don’t endanger it though (which aren’t being achieved or tried ).
What will kill and destroy its own integrity and this game is this system’s constant disregard that jagex is currently hoping to push more of, as evident with this poll and has been doing lately. Then they’d not have unclear and confusing wording in surveys also if jagex cared as much as they state that they do about it. Its a thing that is pretty consistent too. You’d think it’d get proof read or something. Not even bare minimum work. On the contrary, the polling system works differently to rs gold 2007 life democracy.
