100% agree with that. Updated positional terminology would go a very long way in enhancing CFM’s expertise. It is dumb to dismiss the importance of a plot on a player’s position. No team would play Von Miller as an LB how the CPU does in a 4-3. Updating the rankings would be such a tweak but would go so far. Along with updated positions, I think greater flexibility within formations would be a great addition. By way of instance, in case you’ve got a freak athlete who can play multiple positions well, like Isaiah Simmons, then you should be able to move them around to match what you are doing in a specific play.
I do appreciate the time and effort that you put into this, and that I agree with what you wrote. TFG touts that a lot of the positional language is trapped back in 2002, and that I concur with that opinion. I have said this to the mod here before, and with that said, writing up this in this sub is similar to placing a message in a bottle and throwing it into the ocean hoping EA sees feedback. They won’t come since: They do not care to make their game better, they seem to promote it with stuff such as the Yard Superstar KO, and MUT players who will drop hundreds of dollars on packs to casuals.
They are afraid to come in here since then they may see what hardcore players of their game really consider it. Even NBA 2K programmers and neighborhood managers go into their sub. Their main mod also has a ribbon where players can submit issues and get feedback straight. There is nothing like that here because of stage A, and it contributes to 105,000 people because EA doesn’t care enough about their hardcore gamers and are already currently penciling them in as daytime 1 buy or a pre-order.
