I will go a little off here, and wonder if that drove them for a significant loop. Children (can be) more accommodating and they surely have a much smaller voice in regards to feedback.
Basically, will they attempt to appease their elderly crowd (who showed up in droves) or even attempt to change to match to make it less attractive to adults and more (or only) attractive to children?
For me it’s not even that, it’s that the second onwards profiles have restricted skills. That fuckin blows and stopped me from getting the game. Otherwise I would’ve loved to share an island with my little sister.

I personally love sharing the island with my wife and daughter. I definitely understand wanting one yourself as well. As always, more flexibility and options are constantly better.
Yeah, if the two players were equivalent owners and could”advance” the island evenly, it’d be OK. I’ve got it and my daughter is the cheap Animal Crossing Bells island owner so there’s nothing I could do unless she goes and does exactly the quests.
