From the time of hearing about it, I knew that I’d be falling in love with a tangled mess of abuse. When Kyuubi arrived in my driveway, I was excited to see it move under its own power, even though it was clearly fading away.
Eight months and 14,000 miles later, this beast continues to be my daily driver with only minor repairs and upkeep. There is a laundry list of items to address, though.
- Oil leak (front & rear seals)
- Coolant leak
- Wideband
- Fuel Cut
- Turbo (not going to be salvageable for rebuild)
- Driveshaft rebuild
- New U joints
- New tie rod
- Re-adding secondary radiator fan
- Airflow Improvements
At the end of the day, these aren’t terrible things to have issues with. Definitely cannot let them be ignored if I expect to rely on it, though.
