Nogami theorized that Animal Crossing Items New Horizon’s lesser than expected youth demographic may be because New Horizons hasn’t yet been accessible during crucial holiday periods.
“Since it has not been a year since it premiered, it has not been possible for most kids to purchase it, but for now it is a game with a consumer group that is likely different from the expectations,” he explained.
I’ll move a little off the rails here, and wonder if that threw them for a significant loop. Would they prefer that this was primarily enjoyed by children? Kids (can be) more adapting and they certainly have a much smaller voice when it comes to feedback.
Fundamentally, will they try to appease their older audience (who showed up in droves) or try to change to game to make it less attractive to adults and more (or just ) attractive to kids?
For me personally it is not even that, it’s the next onwards profiles have limited abilities. That fuckin blows and stop me from getting the match. Otherwise I would have loved to share an island with my husband.
It’s not ideal, but it actually doesn’t hamstring you like you think/people say.
Personally, I enjoy sharing the island with my spouse and daughter. I definitely understand wanting one yourself as well. As always, more options and flexibility are constantly better.
Yeah, if the two players were equivalent owners and could”advance” the island evenly, it would be OK. I have it and my daughter is your island owner so there’s really nothing I could do unless she goes and does the quests.
And he is tackling a particular point made in the article. Does he need to explore every single topic prior to making a comment?
This is obviously not a game designed toward the majority of people with this sub. I do not really understand all of the hating given most folks here didn’t play with the old ones or clearly have an interest in a game which is not Animal Crossing.
Do not like decorating? Don’t like speaking to villagers? That’s disliking the heart of what the game is intended to be and it is no wonder you’d hate it.
Just so absurd to see people get up in arms over a string not intended to be their own jam.
I really don’t think that has been the gist of this criticism in any way. People have critiqued the sport for the ways that it deviated from the older games, not since the AC formula is not for players.
There’s still content which has yet to come out for ACNH, I really don’t think we can say it is not exactly the same when we haven’t seen everything they’re going to release yet! Sure it sucks that some of the cool furniture in the other games is not inside yet, but I hope that Animal Crossing Bells For Sale will come after as store updates occur and whatnot.
