If EA had not ponied up the cash, 2K would have. The permit was gonna happen regardless of Mut 20 coins who obtained it. Was not this own kind? Was the NFL even considering this as a chance before EA had been”lobbying for this for years” or whatever? This might be the case, but here is where I wanted some evidence, because without EA going out of their way starting a line of dialog and supplying countless millions this does not look inevitable to me.
However from what I have heard/read through time, a significant part of why the NFL did it was because they did not like 2K selling a”discount product” using NFL branding on it. Fair it astounding to me how stupid, evil and/or greedy a lot of high level executives are. 2K just do this as a one time stunt to violate Madden’s stranglehold. You got to get it into people’s hands, get out the word, although they place a ton of work into the product. They did what you’re supposed to perform in a free marketplace and did everything by the book. I believe it says a great deal that EA was pushing for it for years. It’s troubling to me which passings yards/touchdowns are the criteria which determine a QB’s dev trait. I had guessed this was the case throughout my franchises but I guess this confirms it.I’ll utilize Derek Carr as an example of why this process will not make sense. Now Derek Carr is currently playing football. High completion percentage (3rd in the league) great passer rating (7th), solid Y/A (12th), great DVOA (3rd).Of course, none of this matters to the Madden formulation, since he is 16th and 15th in the league in yards and touchdowns respectively due to the way the Raiders’ offense works (utilizing plenty of shorter cries to gain first-down yardage and running the ball a bit).
Philip Rivers leads the team in passing yards–I think most would agree he’s had a fairly bad year all things considered, but he would probably receive a dev attribute growth. I don’t buy it may be hard to implement better ways to assess / progress Madden players. There are lots of Madden players who would be tough to trade for and have high value to system and their team, yet this may not be represented in their own stats. I get that it’s a little more difficult but I believe setting it ought to be possible to get a system that is more complicated and nuanced to be implemented.
I don’t get all of the hatred for Madden 20. So many little crybabies within this community. To begin with, let me clarify by saying I’m one of the critics of EA. They are a greedy company, and they certainly understand how to piss off their core fans. From franchise never getting big updates or features included, to the servers being down every day, it’s not difficult to see why madden will get crap out of the community. But the fact is, Madden 20 is not bad.AT ALL. Online can be unplayable at times, however franchise is AMAZING. Do not make me remind everyone of the maddens, in which it was impossible to fastest way to make money on runescape run OR way too easy to make catches that are aggressive. And let’s not forget about how slow and clunky everyone felt.
