The locomotion/general running animation itself looks awful. I am not certain why everybody overlooks the Madden 20 coins fact that soccer Madden players aren’t constantly sprinting, and needing to turn their entire bodies when changing directions, like some sort of robot. An problem made apparent when comparing Madden to how real Madden players maintain a rate when looking for a hole to hit, or navigating traffic, so as to provide them the best opportunity at adequately reacting to a defender. Even though it seems like Madden got the frequency at which they do so, mixed up with spin moves. It is just odd how many other games, including world ones, such as GTA, AC, and Watch Dogs better capture human movement.
Those games that are 2k were ahead of the time over 10 years ago. It’s been like 10 years because EA ruined football matches with that exclusivity contract that is terrible. Was really funny(sad) because 2k started selling their games for like $20 off iirc simply to tell everyone they had been so confident in their merchandise, their motor and their franchise that they’d use it basically in some ways as a loss leader for a season at least just to get people just to give them a chance. Then EA was like”fuck competition, we’re likely to cover the NFL so we can be the only game in town”. If there it was that. To be fair then Sega did exactly what EA did with football to baseball, getting rid of this exceptional MLB franchise (MVP Baseball) to force their terrible franchise on everybody. These companies always discover a way around having to compete instead, although competition is good.
Is there a source for it? Not minding it, only that each and every press release was”EA pays the NFL $300 million to get exclusive rights are the sole NFL video game” type of stuff. Nothing regarding the NFL being unhappy and initiating the discussions. Just seems as though it was Madden game firms with deep pockets seeking to subvert the contest. The MLB did so as shortly after without any discount shenanigans that are weird. The deal, one EA admits to having lobbied for over the last couple of years, is an exclusive licensing agreement granting EA the rights to the NFL’s teams, stadiums, and Madden players. However, the writer and Madden players Inc. denied that a similar deal was in the works in May 2004, even asking publications that ran the narrative run people retractions.
You think I’m saying they were pressured by them ? They came up with this anti-competition plan because by offering their match cheaper so that they offered that a boatload of money to the NFL 2K was looking great and jeopardized their cash. If EA had not ponied up the money, 2K would have. The exclusive permit gonned na happen regardless of who buy mut coins madden 20 obtained it.
